She holds the title of the most successful chef in the TV. She appears daily on the morning entertainment zone and she has worked with all the major broadcasting channels.
Her fans leave her restaurant “Papadakis”, that is located in the heart of Kolonaki, holding carrier bags packed with food! Billy Zein, having tasted the lamb with herbs and the cheese pie, asked whether he could take some along with him in his hotel! Whenever Jean Paul Gautier is visiting Athens he drops by “Papadakis” every evening for a fixed appointment with lobster, urchins and fish, whereas his colleague Kenzo, asks his friends to get him some of her famous strawberry sherry! Likewise some of her most esteemed colleagues, such as Michele Roux, Cat Cora, Jim Botsakos and Michael Psilakis cannot resist her octopus with honey, grated potato chips or chick peas with taramosalata.
In case you may wonder about the secret of her success, the answer is simple! She has a unique way to communicate her work to people either through the magazines or her TV shows and she always cooks delicious, top quality food!
An awarded chef and a devoted cook, ARGIRO BARBARIGOU, has attributed to the Greek cuisine her own personal touch. Moreover she has managed to lure every one into the kitchen thanks to her… contagious passion for homemade food.
However ARGIRO BARBARIGOU does not simply polish her halo. She has improved her flair and experience by attending intensive classes of French cuisine at the Cordon Bleu School of Cooking in London and later at the Valhrona Ecole du Grand Chocolat in Paris. She has also gained experience working alongside the exceptional chef Stelios Parliaros.
ARGIRO BARBARIGOU has written for several magazines and newspapers and has worked as a food consultant for a multinational food company.
